I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
