In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
